Level 1 · 5-day foundation

CMD

Certified Maternal Doula

A foundational certification focused on pregnancy, postpartum recovery, infant feeding, maternal wellness, and healthy lifestyle practices. No prior credential is required.

  • —Practice skills in a live maternal care environment

Level 2 · 10-day intensive

CML

Certified Maternal Leader

A complete Level 1 foundation followed by five additional days of advanced leadership development, program design, and preparation to serve mothers at a broader community level.

  • —Develop a community maternal wellness program
  • —Continue with six months of mentorship

The Institute states that national accreditation is pending. Credential eligibility and cohort details are confirmed during the application process.

More than a certificate

Learn in the home where care happens.

Institute cohorts include course materials, practical learning with mothers, credentialing, and mentorship. Lodging, meals, and local transportation inclusions depend on the selected pathway.
